Festival season is officially here, and you know we’re kicking things off the loudest way we know how – at Slam Dunk Festival. Since 2006, Slam Dunk has been delivering the goods: scene legends, iconic international rockers, and the wildest, freshest new acts from the UK and beyond. It’s no wonder it just bagged LIVE UK’s Festival of the Year Award 2024 and got hyped by NME, DIY, and The Hoot Leeds as one of the most exciting festivals on the calendar.
We’ll be at Slam Dunk North in Leeds this year, not just to headbang in the pit (although, let’s be real, we’ll definitely be doing that too), but to dive into the backstage stories you don’t usually hear. We’re on a mission to find out how the artists you love stay connected to home when they’re living life on the road. Because whether it's a tatty old tour hoodie that smells like nostalgia, a Polaroid taped to a tour bus mirror, or a ritual FaceTime with nan before hitting the stage, we all need something that keeps us grounded.
We’ll be chatting to some of the bands about what home means to them, how they make hotel rooms feel a bit more them, and whether they’d ever hang a Punk Haus print on the back of a tour bus (the answer better be yes). Expect raw, real stories – with a few surprise appearances from prints you might just recognise…
